SINGLE REVIEW: Eulogy - Pariah

They may not be a big name, but South Wales Eulogy bring a lot of experience and with album Rebirth recently hitting 750,000 streams, they certainly make the right noises. It’s been a time of change for the band with guitarist Brian Perkins stepping down and Richard Wood joining Neil Thomas, Mike Williams and Joshua Bird in a line-up that looks stronger now than ever before. With the band due to guest on the October podcast, it’s timely that they will be dropping their new single Pariah on 20th September. Thanks to Neil we’ve been given a sneak preview of the track.
Eulogy

Eulogy have bolstered their sound with thicker riffs and a fiery approach, and whilst the Metallica influence is evident, this isn’t just another band who are playing following the leader. There’s plenty of melody, the tempo matches the lyrical content, with a brooding mid-section as the pace varies neatly. Thomas has always brought a quality vocal delivery and he’s on good from here. The lead break fires out and although it’s a little lost in the mix, that might well be the version I’m working with rather than the final production. Pariah is a solid heavy metal track that adds to the fine work the band have already released. With gigs booked, and new music to come, there is still plenty of gas in the Eulogy tank. Catch them on the podcast next month to find out more about them and make sure you check out Pariah when it comes.
